Aptly describes Migration

WHAT I LEFT BEHIND, WHAT I HOPE TO FIND

I left home, to come to school
I left farm, to come to food
I left my cows, my sheep,
But did not have time to weep.
Now I know why I cry tonight
’Cos I know now what I left behind
and today, what I hope to find.
Cities full of cars and bikes
Restaurants and bars and roaring mikes
But I miss the vast sky
and my kites to fly
And my folks, my friends
Seem vanishing trends
So I cry tonight but what shall I gain
Tomorrow I’ll struggle and then day after day again

Invictus

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

Still I Rise

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may tread me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.

Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise.

Dreams

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.

-Langston Hughes

Don't Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will;
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill;
When the funds are low, and the debts are high;
And you want to smile, but have to sigh;
When care is pressing you down a bit-Rest if you must, but do not quit.

Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you can never tell how close you are;
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit;
It's when things go wrong that you must not quit.

Things everyone ought to own

There are some basic things which one should have and one should do to keep the life energy fresh and soulful.
Things everyone should have.
1-Pen and notebook. For jotting down life lessons, and starting a novel.
2-Couple of nice books
3-A phone for calling friends, so you can spend time together.
4-A cofee cup. You can use it for tea , coffee, green tea, hot water.
5-A gym membership, so you can have the satisfaction of canceling it when you decide to work out outside, doing bodyweight exercises.
Things Everyone Should Do

In addition, I have recommendations for things you should do without needing to own something:
1-Meditate--You don’t need to own a cushion to do this. You can use a chair or couch, or do it outside.
2-Exercise or do something active outside.
3-Practice compassion.
4-Read often.
5-Learn something new.
6-Practice letting go of the ego.

Journey of Life

The destination puts and end to all the goods and bads ,ups and downs ,enthusiasms and lows.The journey for that matter the process is exciting rather than the end.
Every one experiences happy and sad moments but to be neutral and always welcome these moments with an open mind is what is required because the destination puts and end to this exciting roller-coaster ride.

This reminds me of a brilliant movie"The Pursuit of Happiness" featuring Will Smith as a mundane salesman who aspires to become a stockbroker.The essence of Happiness lies only in the pursuance and not the Happiness itself.Once u achieve it it becomes the new normal after some time.It is only the moments during the journey,process which are memorable.

The problem with human behaviour is we get intimidated by the journey and aspire to reach to the end asap and after we achieve wat we always aspired for we reminisce the moments of the wonderful journey.This what the beauty of life is - unexpectable yet so joyful.

I ought to say life is a book which never ends ,always brings new pages with new characters,moments,destinations.You never know what awaits you.
